Call for Submissions for Organized Symposia

At this time we are looking for proposals for organized symposia. If you have an innovative idea on a timely subject that would appeal to fish and wildlife professionals from across the region, we invite you to submit a proposal for consideration.

An Organized Symposium is a series of integrated presentations that address aspects of a single topic or theme. Symposia are the scientific centerpiece of the conference and will run concurrently with other technical sessions. A symposium can consist of invited speakers only or be open to accepting presentations from the general call for abstracts, which will open in mid-May 2021.
Anyone interested in coordinating a symposium for the 2021 Conference should submit a proposal online by Friday, April 16, 2021, 11:59 PM (EST)

We realize we are beginning our outreach against a backdrop of the continuing impact of COVID-19. Since we can’t predict the prolonged impact for this fall, our intention is to run the conference as scheduled, but are preparing for contingencies. All oral and poster presentations will be included, regardless of whether our event is in-person, virtual, or a combination of both. Our goal is to provide a forum for education, discussion, and networking for conservation professionals from throughout the Southeastern states, and this fellowship is even more critical during these unprecedented times. We’ll continue to provide updates on our plans for a successful event.
