Oral Presentations & Posters

Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal! The deadline to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations has passed (June 15, 2017). 

Abstract submissions for peer-reviewed manuscripts, symposia, general oral presentations will be based on 20 minute presentation that includes time for the presentation and questions. All oral presenters are expected to deliver PowerPoint presentations. Abstract submittals must include the title, author name(s) and affiliation(s), and the abstract (limited to 250 words).

Submitting a proposal: Submissions for oral and poster presentations will be collected online only. 

Presentations from the Law Enforcement, Legal, IT/Licensing, Administration & Business, and Marketing, R3 & Communications disciplines are highly encouraged for submission in addition to the Fisheries and Wildlife technical sessions to demonstrate that strong integration and collaboration across disciplines leads to improved conservation outcomes.

Eight special symposia will be included as part of the technical program at the 2017 SEAFWA Annual Conference. Read their overviews

Peer-Reviewed Manuscripts

When the SEAFWA Journal was created in 2013, some new procedures were created relative to publishing of peer-reviewed manuscripts. Peer-reviewed manuscripts will be published in the Journal. Review the manuscript submission guide to authors.

Note: authors submitting peer-reviewed manuscripts for consideration will be expected to also serve as manuscript reviewers. Manuscripts and questions regarding abstracts and manuscripts for peer-review should be directed to:
